So after 1~2 months of heavy research, i decided to stay with these components for my new build:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card (€300.00)

HOWEVER:
- I have some doubts regarding the motherboard, and would like to know if you guys recommend this one, or if you have some sugestions regarding other brand/model. I will be doing some OC, but not going past 4.2/4.3 GHz (at least not now, with this cooler). Also not planning on doing SLI (probabably never tbh).
- Also the case might be changed to an H440 or Fractal design of some sort. Still not sure.

Also, any tips you guys can give me would be appreciated, regarding any and all components, build in general. Also, still scratching my head with the dimensions of the components and the case to use.

(Btw, don't mind the prices, since i won't be paying VAT, and i'm still watching the prices to lower a little bit more)

Thanks in advance to all help provided :)

TL;DR: Requesting feedback on my new build. Main sugestions needed on the motherboard (for mild OC and no SLI) and case.

The motherboard should handle it. Overall great choices on parts. Everything should fit in that case as well.

Also, is this your first build? If so it looks like you've done a great amount of research to come of with such a well rounded list.

first build yes since i allways had laptops, but as an electrical/computer engineer, i have the duty to at least have the know-how of this kind of stuff ^^

regarding other HDD/SSD, i have some laying around at home so no need to buy more.

Still, I would like some other sugestions on motherboards, since i managed to save money on other components. In the same price range, but a little bit more stuff. (for example, i know of some Mobos with backup bios, in case the main one fails. stuff like that).

After i get some sugestions, i would be scouting the prices for a while (watching for sales, price drops, etc), and then get the one with better price/quality ratio :)

Regarding the case, i would REALLY, REEEEALLY like to have the Noctis 450, but i'm having a terrible time finding it here on Europe in a reasonable price...

so many options lol. they are all pretty close to one another. sometimes it just kinda depends on personal preference lol. I see the one I mentioned is there in that amazon link. there are a lot of good options though. I like to look at pcper, tomshardware, and hardocp reviews for my info.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/enthusiast-z97-motherboard-overclock,3893-26.html

Here is an article where Tomshardware compared a few boards for z97 that were more budget oriented. Its a smidge dated at this point the the boards they reviewed are good comparisons for that price range and to represent what kind of product you can find from each company in that price range. the link skips to the overclocking comparisons since you mentions overclocking but the article is very lengthy and covers the boards thoroughly.
