I wanted to do a complete reset of windows (i chose the option to "delete all files"). I started the reset and everything was going fine, but now its been stuck at 47% for 5 hours, its a 1TB HDD where only 150GB were filled, the screen is still active with the loading dots going around in the circle. (i have 3 drives installed but it gave me the option to select which drives to completely reset and i only chose my boot drive)

Solution
That was actually my intention all along, but i just wanted to delete everything (have a lot of stuff and i thought doing a complete reset would be faster than going through and sorting it all). So I have the USB ready at hand im just "afraid" i guess to shut down the computer while its in the middle of a reset. So idk if I should wait it out a few more hours and see what happens or just force shut my pc and then do just reinstall windows.

You can just hold the power on button for like 3-4 seconds till it shutdowns.
shut be no problem.
It takes too long, usually ssd install needs approx 5-10 minutes and hdd maybe 15 minutes.
5hours is too much.. except youre using 87 floppy disks for your windows install :p

Would suggest you to create a USB with Media Creation Tool which can be found on Microsoft website and do a fresh and clean install.
Always better than doing a reset.
You just need a USB with atleast 8gb.
