Completely formatted internal HDD and want to reinstall Windows.

So this is going to be a long one. I am using Windows 10 Pro on an Asus Laptop. 3 months ago, Windows crashed and all I was able to see was Blue Screen of Death. I burned Ubuntu on a USB drive and saw that my files are still intact. So I removed the internal hard drive and backed up all the data. And then I removed all the partitions on this drive. Now when I am trying to reinstall Windows with a USB drive, it is not recognizing the drive. I am using partition guru on my other computer, so my question is how to reformat this hard drive so as to Windows can be installed again?

windows can install a partition and format the drive during install.
prep the drive like its new. no format or partition.
start the windows install and proceed
