Complications When Switching GPU Brands (AMD & Nvidia)

I'm planning on buying an RX 480 for my somewhat budget computer build and when I get some more cash was planning on upgrading to a GTX 1070 or 1080. Will there be any complications that might arise from switching from the AMD GPU to the Nvidia GPU, whether it be with drivers interfering or anything else on the hard drive that might make it harder to simply replace the card and get playing? Also, drivers: will my system detect the change and download the proper ones automatically or do I have to do it manually?

You will need to uninstall drivers for initial GPU, and install drivers for new GPU, before installing the new GPU.

but that is it, it is really pretty painless.
