Component and odd resolutions?

I recently learned, in order to use my ps3 on my VGA monitor, I just get a component video cable and a component to VGA adapter. The highest resolution my monitor can reach is 1024 x 768. Will I be able to play in that resolution?

you should be able to if not then you will have to adjust it on your monitor
