Composite battery ?

Hello. Ive recently buyed a new pc to replace my old one. But when i checked the device manager it says that my desktop pc have a battery.

Do you have a UPS? Those will show up as a battery(since they are a backup battery).

What is "UPS"? Im not really an expert at computers. I just bought this without any knowledge of its hardware.

A UPS is an uninterruptible power supply. In general it is a battery operated device that keeps the computer on for a time if the power fails(Many look like a small computer tower with outlets on the back).

I think even having on connected in the past will still leave that device in the device manager when the unit has been disconnected. I still have one of those from my old UPS. it never caused issues so I never looked into removing it.

So. If the primary power source is out will a pc operate normally even though there is no power? Im confused. :/

If you have a UPS you would know. It is a fairly large heavy device(many look like a small tower).

Again, if one was connected you may still have that device listed.
