Hello 😀

I suffer from an addiction that many people who love PC's suffer from - compulsive upgrading -_-

My question is: where should I go from here? Overall, my gaming experience is good, and I'm somewhat happy with my PC, but I feel that there is so much more that I could be pushing.

Specs are as follows:

CPU: FX 6300 (OC'd to 4.4ghz)
Cooler: Corsair H80i
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming Edition
RAM: Kingston HyperX 8gb 1600 (2x4gb)
GPU: Gigabyte R9 280X Rev 3
PSU: Corsair AX 760
Storage: Crucual MX 100 256gb // Seagate 2TB
Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout 2

Peripherals:
Monitor: Samsung B2330 (1920x1080)
Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Chroma
Mouse: Razer Naga 2012

Thanks in advance! :)

My opinion is that you should save your money. Save it until you're ready to do a completely new build. That build is fine, but I don't think it can be denied that the top Intel CPUs outperform the top AMD CPUs.

Your next build (from current knowledge) should probably support:
- Top tier Intel CPU
- New motherboard based on latest chipset
- Faster/more RAM (If you're a fan of Fallout 4, Digital Foundry wrote an article showing the merits of faster RAM. They used DDR4 2400MHz.)
- Moving up to the 390x AMD GPUs or 980GTX Nvidia GPUs.
- Considering a .m2 SSD.

- Upgrading to a 1440p monitor, or consider transforming your viewing experience to a 21:9 monitor.
- Adding a soundcard/really nice speakers

- Consider any other peripherals - the ones I'm thinking are the Cyborg Gaming Lights. Sure, they're a bit of a gimmick but I love them. They have worked with nigh on every single one of my games and they work with any movies I play on my PC. I'd recommend them to anyone!
(If you do though, be aware, you will have to do one registry tweak in Windows 8 and above as Windows has a USB active power management system and it switches them off when they're not in use which is very annoying. Private Message me if you do end up getting them!)
