I have a custom-built PC with an ASROCK B450M Pro4 motherboard. No additional sound card. I downloaded all the appropriate drivers off of ASROCK's website for the motherboard, including the Realtek Audio drivers. However, when I plug my headphones in (Audio Techinca M40x's if that matters) the back panel, my sound is much quieter than it should be. My computer's volume is at 100%, and a Youtube video's volume is at max, but the noise level is only comfortable. Sounds from video games and such are also much quieter than they should be, despite all the volume options being maxed out. When I plug the headphones into my laptop, the volume of videos and etc. when my computer is at 100% is extremely loud like it should be. I've tried reinstalling the drivers on my desktop, fiddling around with different versions of them, tried pretty much every option I can with Windows Control Panel, and have had no progress. I even refreshed Windows to delete any third party audio drivers I may have downloaded, but even that didn't fix it. 100% master volume is just comfortable listening volume, which it shouldn't be. At this point I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions or advice?
