Computer behaving weird

So, a month ago I went away for a week. I shut down my pc (desktop) and plug off the power cable. What happened next, was that the keyboard started not working sometimes. Especially while gaming. (Note, in such occasions the mouse worked, and I had only the integrated GPU in my i5 4460).I updated the bios via pen drive and then I wiped down my primary ssd, reinstalled both Ubuntu and win 10 (the problem occurred in both os,and even worse... In the grub screen. Yes, of course I changed the batteries of my keyboard.). The problem seemed over. Now, I still sometimes have the problem that my keyboard temporarily freezes while gaming. (For a few seconds usually ). I now have an Asus strix Nvidia gtx 1070. Even worse.... when I'm sure I turned my computer off and I'm away for a day I tend to find iT turned on. And it randomly reboots during the night (it happened tonight, and it happens often). Note: while gaming I checked that the cpu wasn't overheating. 40 Celsius, steady. (When such problems occurred). I now have another problem. When I restart, the windows time zone is wrong. It usually sets it at -2 when I'm +1. And I have automatic time and time zones enabled. What is happening to my pc?

Update: almost forgot. I checked WOL and it's off.

Would the BIOS battery change the time zone and not the actual minutes? Would it make restart/turn on? No, I haven't tried another keyboard. What do you mean by "look for leakage"?

It`s a sign of a bad power supply if anything that is connected to the motherboard looses power.
The system restarts or resets at random times.

If the problem got worse when you fitted a Pci-e based graphics card into the motherboard, where you were prior to this using the on board video solution of the motherboard.

The extra power required to run the 1070 GTX card confirms it is a power supply problem.
A unstable power supply, it being very old or a very cheap price payed for the power supply will be the main cause.

Marco.

A flat cmos battery can also cause the system to restart as it is needed to retain the current stored settings set up in your bios. The easy way to confirm this is to check in the bios if the time, date, month and year are set correctly.

If it has reverted to another year other than 2016.
Then it confirms you need to buy a new cmos battery to correct the problem of the system resetting ect.

Uh, I should have included this too. I bought a Corsair RM750X, brand new. So, as long as it works fine (how can I check that?) I should have plenty of power for a GTX 1070 and an i5 4460.

I will buy a new battery as soon as I can, just to be sure.

i think u should update ur BIOS 1st....then swap CMOS battery( which is less likely the case here) with the new one.
and check every connection to ur pc and PC case's power switch......also check PSU. you should borrow working PSU and test on it.
and last but not least check ur windows settings.

I updated the bios... Two weeks ago? I doubt it's out of date already, but I'm going to check. I bought a new battery I'm going to replace this evening, after having checked the bios version. And all the connections for the PSU, of course.

My concerns are:

1) the keyboard part happened also before changing PSU. And I doubt it was only the keyboard since when it happened (while gaming), also the sound got into a medley loop. Graphics worked nice though, and same for the mouse.

2) I thought I had a virus, but then I updated bios, wiped my SSD down and reinstalled everything. I'm going to run a deep scan for viruses later.

3) My computer seems to turn itself on. What could possibly cause that?

I removed the battery for a bit, and replaced with a new one. Also, I noticed that even the caps lock has some delay when the keyboard doesn't work. what does this mean? Is it the keyboard or the os? I'm going to try another keyboard as soon as I get home. I still have windows that sets my time zone weirdly. I don't know, I'm confused.
