Hi Everyone,

I've followed threads for quite some time and wanted to post something.

I made my own computer about 2 years ago or maybe a little less.
After having it for about 6 months, I started to have weird issues with my pc which would cause my pc to black screen and just restart all of a sudden.

I've ran stress tests on the memory, I've ran test on my GPU such as benchmarks (heaven) and I've also tested my cpu. There is no overheating that I can see, and no issues with my hardware.

This issue has started to happen more and more now. I'm leaning towards it being a GPU issue but I just can't be sure.

Any advice would be great, but I feel like I've tested everything pretty well.

Under event viewer, I'm getting a kernal power 41 message (which just tells me the power shut down unexpectedly) and event log 6008 with no further information.

Update:
I just ran furmark again and monitored all my stuff. Here are some results:
Average FPS- 43
Max temp- 77
CPU max temps- 35 (must be a faulty sensor) Bios states the cpu is at 25c

Hope this helps a little bit. Any help is appreciated

Here are my specs:
windows 10
i5-6600k
gtx 960 gpu
z170 gaming 5 motherboard
550w seasonic
2x8 gb 2200 ram
1x240 ssd
1x 1tb 7200 HDD

Solution

I have a new PSU otw that I ordered. I'll give you an update if this is what it was. I went with a seasonic 650w gold plus. If anyone has any further recommendations based off of what's happening, I'd be happy to hear!

So I managed to manually switch my voltage to 1.10 instead of auto. Using HW and OCCT, I can see that my vcore is now where it's supposed to be (1.10) and is working fine. I'll keep this thread open for now until I can test my computer out some more in order to see if my pc black screens and restarts again.

Thank you for the help!
