Computer booting out of case, but not inside of case

The motherboard is on standoffs and screwed in correctly to those, there are no extra standoffs. Everything is plugged in, the 20+4 pin power cable, etc. Everything is in, I've quadruple checked and pressed on everything. It's all there.

It booted outside of the case just fine it had a single beep and went straight to the BIOS, however in the case there is nothing, no beeps, no display, nothing. Nothing is touching the MOBO to short it out, I have no idea what's going on..

>If leaving only CPU and CPU fan installed and starting the board, does the CPU fan spin and are you getting the beeps?

Yes

>Do the fans move just a little bit at all?

They moved when they were breadboarded, when in the case they are not moving a single inch

Can you give us the list of specs please? It sounds like a 24 pin problem. If it was 8 pin/4 pin CPU the fans would atleast come on.

*EDIT* Is there a switch other than the on/off switch at the back of the B2? I know my G2 has a switch other than the I/O switch that says "OFF/ECO/ON"

Sure thing, the specs are:

CPU: i5 2400

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1 Micro ATX LGA1155 MOBO

Memory: 8 GB

Storage: 1 TB

GPU: MSI GTX 970

PSU: EVGA 750W Semi Modular PSU

OS: Windows 8.1 OEM (64 bit)

Case: Azza Sirius ATX Mid Tower

It would be a bit odd if it was a 24 pin problem, seeing as how it worked well with the breadboard method and it is pushed in all the way it seems in my case.

Read my edit from my last comment. How long have you had that board? A lot of H81/H61 mobos came with little insulating washers that you would use when screwing the motherboard screws into the board. Did you loose these or did they just not come with the board? If they didnt come with the board then that is definitely not the issue here.

Unfortunately not. This is what the back of my PSU looks like: http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/17-438-028-10.jpg

The MOBO did not come with any washers to be installed either, which I find a bit odd because as you can tell in the video my screws are definitely touching part of my MOBO, which they have to do as to prevent the board from sliding back and forth.

Edit: I've had the board since Christmas, Newegg actually sent me two of the same board. This is the second board I'm using as the first one also did not boot and was told it could be that the MOBO was messed up. Clearly I am doing something wrong here 🙁

May sound like a pain but you are probably eventually going to have to do the build on the outside of the case again.

I will definitely try that again tomorrow, it's really been a bit of a bother, I've had all of the components for 2 weeks and it's been a nightmare trying to figure out exactly where I'm going wrong. What do you reckon I do if the breadboard works again?

If it won't be a financial interruption to you, I would try a different case.

Might have to do so, I think I can still RMA my case so that's good news. Hopefully I'll get some more feedback from here or Reddit. Thanks so much for your assistance, means a lot!

No problem. Try the Source 210. It's a proven budget case that is good for the money.
