I was watching videos perfectly fine less than 24 hours ago. I have tried restarting the computer and googling symptoms to no avail. When i try to play and video on my computer regardless of the file type or location , c or d drives, i get this error in a popup: Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.

My only options from there are cancel and web help. Please help me i need to watch videos for college classes!

BTW Computer specs are:

16gb G skill RAM 4x4gb
4.2 ghz 3570k
ASrock z77 MOBO
MSI GTX 970
120 GB OCZ agility 3 SSD
1 TB Seagate HDD
1000w Corsair PSU
Creative labs XFI titanium sound card

I have CCCP and have used multiple players and that is a non issue. I just found out that no sound with my computer works except with things on the internet. When i went into sound options it was saying that something to do with my Sound blaster enhancements for 3d sounds were "causing problems." I turned off the enhancements and i still have no sound...

I ended up having to reinstall the drivers and that fixed it, it really did not seem like a driver problem at first. Thanks for helping me BSOD, have a great morning.
