computer connected to internet but webpages wont load

ive done all these steps netsh winsock reset , ipconfig renew / release etc etc etc etc.. been at this days and my chrone or IE will not load webpages i get the same old webpage cannot be displayed.. yes my internet works i can get on from my laptop but my desktop will not load the internet but it is connected to the internet please help..
yes i get a reply from google. and 4.2.2.2 etc

What happens if ping google.com does it work. This will show if DNS is working properly or not.

sorry never used this site before google.com when i ping it it works
just in case you need to know im on windows 7.
ive tried all kinda things posted before on this site relating to my problem and nothing has worked

ive also tried reseting my browser settings on both IE and chrome i mean ive litterly tried almost everything be my solution please 😛 also how can i tell right away when u respond to me for we arnt answering each other every 30min can try to get this done quick as possible lol

i cant download this on desktop where issue is seeing as web browser will not load 😛

also that says its for windows 10 and there another for windows 8 but not 7?

im downloadin fixwin on laptop then ganna flash drive it over to desktop hope it works.. let u know in a min

fixwin runnin now on desktop says process will take some time.. any other suggestions while that runs?

That should do it hopefully. Sounds like a winsock error and tools like that are the only thing that can really fix it short of a reinstall.

ya i lost my windows 7 disk or i woulda done a complete restore alrdy trust me.. and i got a winsockfix program alrdy that did nothing so hopefully winfix works.. let u know when it finishes still on the process may take some time lol..

i honestly thought it was a virus? of some sort.. its did this before a month or so ago and i got it working by doing the cmd prompt commands but those are not working this time

That should do it hopefully. Sounds like a winsock error and tools like that are the only thing that can really fix it short of a reinstall.

thx for ur help.... seems to be better with that winfix program... found the right selection and problem gone hopefully stays that way

What ones did you use. Just as this thread is archived it can be searched by someone else and possibly fix their own problem with making a thread
