Computer crashes after I close a game?

So when I close games sometimes my whole computer starts to crash. Alt-Ctrl-Del. Doesn't work and than I have to force shutdown. When this happens my background (windows 7) turns a faded white gray and the little start menu icon stays normal. I can't click anything and it stays in this state till i turn it off. I just started having this problem and have no clue what can cause it. My video card is fine for the games im playing. It only happens when I close a game. The game stops responding and than boom my whole computer stops. Anyone have an idea why this maybe happening?

Does this happen with all games or just one? Are your drivers/DX/OS up to date?

Sounds like RAM issue (after a game is closed the ram needs to be cleaned up, and if there is a problem there it might crash).

try running memtest.

Apart from that, it does sound like a driver issue.

I have 16 gigs atm and my drivers should be up to date. Its not every game just some but they do the same thing. I have never had this issue before, it kinda popped out of nowhere.

Drivers are up to date and i have 8GB of ram. And this not only happens when playing a game, it can happen when I'm on just facebook. I'm going to reformat or get a new harddrive soon. Hope it fixes it 😛
