Ever since I have gotten this PC, I have experienced random crashes when playing games. Sometimes it crashes when I'm not in a game, but that is very rare.
I have had two types of similar crashes. The first type will randomly shut off my monitors (displaying an orange light as if the computer is off) and any sound playing will loop, then after a minute it shuts my computer down and it restarts by itself. After the restart it starts up normally.
The second type will again, randomly shut off my monitors. The sound from the game disappears, but any other sound (like skype calls or music) will continue normally. My computer is still on with fans running, but monitors show it as being off by displaying the orange light. I have to hold the on/off button down on my computer to manually restart it. After that it starts up normally.
In the start I always got the first type, but now I mostly get the second type.
The crashes happen while I am playing games, however it is only in certain games that are high performance. The high performance is not a problem, since my PC often has more than the recommended specs.
I have gotten these crashes with GTA V, Tomb Raider and Fallout 4.
GTA V and Tomb Raider - I had these game crash once or twice (crashes being the first type). I changed the settings to low, and it worked. Hasn't crashed my computer since.
Fallout 4 - I cannot play this new game due to the crashes. They are the second type, and they happen after 5-15 minutes of playing. I have tried to set all settings to low, windowed mode, but nothing changes. I don't get any lag at all, it just crashes out of nowhere.
I have updated all my drivers, which did not change anything.
I do not get any lag at all before the crashes - it just happens immediately.
