This has been going on for around a month now. It started as a slight annoyance, where my computer would crash once in a while, but now it is constantly. Some games such as Don't Starve or EU4 I can play fine (may still crash if I alt-tab), but any game that is more intensive such as CS:GO, BF1, Arma 3, etc... will crash my pc almost instantly, or when I join any server.

When the computer crashes I won't be able to start it back up until I unplug the computer from the wall and PSU, and then plug both back in.

I have already tried to replace the thermal paste, and take off the side panel, but those have not fixed the issue.

PC Specs:
M5A97 LE 2.0
GTX EVGA 760
8GB Patriot RAM
Seagate 1000TB Hybrid
AMD FX-6300
Enermax 550W

Solution
I feel so. Best way is if you could test it with another PSU in anyway, then it might save from any waste of money. but looking at the facts there's a higher chance to blame the PSU for the issue.
Did you try Kombuster app to force the GPU stress? I'm not sure that PSU can handle that GPU. Cause GPU needs 30 amps on the 12V line. Your PSU has +12V1@19A, +12V2@19A.

So if you are using both rails to connect to the GPU, then it can provide the 30amps. But with just Rail it can get only up to 19 amps.
