Question Can the Corsair CX750M take more than one PCIe cable?

I currently only have one 8pin to 2*6+2pin (daisy chain) cable running to the "4+4 CPU" slot for my 6700XT GPU, which takes one 8pin and one 6pin to power. I am aware that I mustn't use the daisy chain cable to power both slots, and I am not too knowledgeable in power supplies and cables.

My question is: can I buy a compatible 8pin cable to either 6 or 8pin to fully power my GPU and can it still connect to my PSU via the other "6+2 PCI-E" slot?

Thank you.

(I don't know if I have to state this, but I have run into issues where my computer would suddenly shut down when playing more demanding games with the aforementioned use of the daisy chain cable, and I know it's not the other components causing the trouble).

You have some mixed terms in use here.

6+2 connectors are for GPUs, also know as PCIe power.

4+4 connectors are for motherboard power, along with the larger 24-pin connector commonly used with standard PC motherboards.

What are you trying to attach to your current PSU?

You "mustn't use the daisy chain cable"

Yeah. The PSU manufacturers put them there to trick you.

Use the daisy chain. You're fine.
