Computer doesnt turn on unless 6 pin connector is plugged in halfway

As I said my computer doesnt work so I can't be asked to type out everything.

There's obviously bad contact somewhere, either on PSU or MB side. You shouldn't do that live but only with PSU power turned off or unplugged. That way you are running a risk to blow other components.

Can you use a 4 pin PC connector instead of the 6 pin?
