hello I'm building a gaming computer for my brother and all he will be doing on it is minecraft, tf2, garry's mod... so would a A10 7850k be good enough or would it be better to get an amd fx cpu and a 20$ gpu. By the way he wont be upgrading it for propably another 2-4 years

Solution
Yes TF2, minecraft and GM could run on a wristwatch, they're not demanding games at all. Those CPu + mobo bundles on the 7850k at microcenter are a good deal from what i recall

were getting it from microcenter and they dont have that one. the 7850k will be able to Gmod, minecraft, tf2.... at good settings or no

Ok firstly what resolution are these games going to be played in and do you only need the processor ( have all other components already bought ) If not what is the budget for the computer not including keyboard/mouse and windows

the system will have 4gb of ram, 430w psu( cheapest power supply from a good company) and a a10 7850k the resolution is 1920x1080 will this be able to play Gmod and minecarft and tf2 at good settings

ok thx because his current computer can barely run minecraft (win7 2gb of ddr2 ram, and crappy cpu with crappy integrated gpu

It sounds like he's just a CPU, GPU, motherboard and ram upgrade away from a nice little gaming rig 😀
