Computer freezes and display goes to sleep

CPU: i5 2400
GPU: R9 270x
RAM: 12 GB

I built this computer about a month ago, and it had some issues at first with the cooler but tha'ts all fixed. Its been running completely fine ever since then but since Wednesday the computer kept freezing, every kept freezing randomly at times, I cant put on caps lock whenever the computer froze, I would have to restart the computer again, today when I launch some games like fortnite, I cant run it for more than 5 minutes without it freezing on me and the monitor going to sleep. My cpu and gpu temps seem to be fine under load and on fortnite

CPU (underload): 40C average
CPU (Fortnite): 60-65C average

GPU (Underload): 37C average
GPU( Fortnite) : 50C average.

Theres a little thermal paste on my cpu but that's been the case since last month. Any help is appreciated.

Does your game crash before the PC freezes? If yes, do u get an error code?

You can always try reinstalling Windiws from fresh as well

My PC freezes and goes to sleep when in fullscreen and windowd Fullscreen ingame, I can only play in windowed which is uncomfortable for me

I could hear the sound after it freezes and goes to sleep
The game does not freeze at all

I'm sorry I don't know what else this could be. But to be honest your CPU is quite old. It might just simply be reaching the end of its life.

Could be PSU, it could be GPU. Temps look okay from what you posted. Are you over clocking?
