I been having some problems recently, whenever Im playing a game, it freezes and some horizontal lines appear all over screen, the colors vary depending on the colors that were displaying on screen at the moment of freezing.. I never had this problem until now. I also get BSOD sometimes but rarely. I even changed to another hard but problem still persists. This also happens sometime when Im not playing games too but then it takes lot of time in doing so, but when I open a game, it freezes whole comp in like the first 5 minutes. Can this happen if CPU is overheating? Is it a GPU or HDD problem?

Processor : Intel Pentium G640, 2.80Ghz
Mobo : Asus P8P67 Pro
Ram: 2 GB DDR3 Kingston
Graphics : amd radeon r7 240 2GB DDR3
PSU : Tego 750 Watt

PLEASE help

What games are you playing i could be your ram but that shouldnt affect yah pc when yah not playing a game. 4gb is standard for any newly realeased game. 8Gb ram is perfect

Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with PSU, both graphics card and psu is new, also PSU is 750 watt and I havent ever faced this problem up until now. Whenever I go into BIOS right after starting up computer, CMP temperature is at around 55 degrees, Is that ok? If it stays at 55 under normal load then maybe its skyrocketing whenever I open game and thus computer freezing, I havent applied thermal paste on cpu heatsink for 4 months, can this be the problem?
