Question Computer freezes for about 5 seconds waiting for disk

I built a new computer and reused my old SSD (reformatting it in the process). Ever since, I've had random freezes in which my computer is not responsive for about 5s (they happen maybe twice an hour?). Following a freeze, task manager will show 100% disk utilization. My SSD is not even close to full and has been recently "optimized" under Windows (I believe that runs the TRIM operation).

ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING
RX480
16GB DDR4
EVGA 750G2

did any health test?

What software should I use for a health test? The drive is a 240GB PNY CS1111

Have you updated chipset-drivers and SSD-firmware?
