CPU: i5 4690K
Cooler: Corsair H80i
Motherboard: Asus Maximus IV Ranger
GPU: Asus GTX 770
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP
PSU: Corsair AX760i
All components are at default clock speeds and settings
Whenever I stress test my GPU using an application such as FurMark, temps reach a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius, and things appear to be working fine. However, when I close the application and switch to normal use the computer tends to freeze (screen goes black and does not respond - requires hard reset, sometimes even two)
When I attempt to stress test my PC using Blend on Prime95, the PC passes with no problem and no crash or error occurs
I attempted to underclock the card but the problem persisted
I read that this may be a PSU issue however I am certain an AX760i is more than capable of powering the rig
I am positive it is not a software issue as I have attempted using multiple different versions of drivers with a clean format in between each attempt
I am also quite certain it is not the GPU, as my local tech store already thought it was that, replaced the card, and the problem persisted
Someone help me before I gauge my eyes out
