Computer Freezes When Playing Games/Photoshop

It seems my computer is freezing to a solid color (red, green, blue, white) whenever I start playing a game or launch Photoshop. I reinstalled my graphics card drivers but no luck.

Intel - Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor
MSI - Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Corsair - Vengeance 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
MSI - Radeon RX 470 8GB Gaming X Video Card
Corsair - CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Do you have to hard restart the PC for it to work again? Have you check your tempatures while idle and gaming?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I do need to hard reset the PC.

Idling it looks like my temperatures are on average 38 degrees. Before the crash the highest the temperature got was 50 degrees.

Still having this issue. Can anyone help? Memory test came back fine.
