At least once every 24 hours my computer just freezes completely and the only way to fix it is to turn it off by using the power button. I have not seen a BSOD yet, the computer just freezes and I've tried waiting to see if anything else would happen but nothing happens. Weirdly enough I have yet to see the computer freeze while playing a game, but always see it freeze while watching a stream or doing something else on google chrome. Any ideas as to why this may be happening? On top of this it would seem as though my memory usage does not reset when turning off my computer unless I also use the power button to shut it down as well.

Hello... I just Double click the "Task scheduler" folder/heading... there is "Re-fresh" option/tool on the right side too... I Find it strange there are NO Tasks "defaulted/running" in your OS... but then again I'm not a WIN10 user... so if other steps/rules are needed to "display" this information... I'm not savvy to them. B /

Also look/open... below in the "Active Tasks" pane too... if your Type "Task scheduler" in your Start-search programs and files, too will open the APP too.

I have mine "Trimmed down" to... "SystemSoundsService" every 24 hours... required/started/recorded every BOOT.

and Active... required at BOOT for my system.

Every one's will be...
Hello... Right Click computer-manage-Task scheduler-system Tools-Task Scheduler-Last 24 hours... how many tasks and items do you have listed here? These are automated tasks, Apps, defaulted to run... there will be set times for them and other conditions for them to auto start, No mater what you are doing.

Some of them are needed for a Normal OS Boot... some of them are not needed and some of them are just plain? B O Typically Microsoft maintenance items are defaulted to run at 3am.

Hey there, I checked and if I am checking the right place then in the last twenty four hours there have been 1 critical, 3 warning, 6 errors, 335 information, 144 audit success. For critical, under source, it says kernel-power and underneath log it says system. Is this the right place I should be looking?

Hey there, if I'm looking in the right place, it doesn't say anything for the past 24 hours. Is that normal? It doesn't even say any tasks for the last thirty days.

Sounds like your in the right place. Look at the logs at the time it happened.

At the time it happened there was the one critical being the kernel-power. Three errors being a bug check, an Eventlog, and the last being DistributedCOM. Finally for the warning section there was one, being the FilterManager. These are what I'm seeing for the last time my computer froze, they all are happening around the same time it did freeze

I am yes, but I noticed that All Tasks History was disabled so that's why I couldn't see anything I assume. I turned it on and now tasks are appearing but nothing before I turned it on. I guess I'll have to wait until the next time it freezes to see? I'm looking under task status by the way, unless I'm supposed to be looking somewhere else in Task scheduler

Every one's will be different... Anti-virus... Bluetooth... Wi-Fi... These are tied to the "Microsoft Services" and "Default/Safe" settings... It is common to have more services than you really need... I have fine turned mine. Basically I wanted YOU to check this area for "maintenance" items that "Auto start" and the "Times" they go into effect. B /

To find other things that are just "Crapware" OR "Nagware" Calls/problems... then I would suggest the "Event Viewer" B ) a common one is "Cortana" and "Microsoft TV on demand" with WIN10. They will continue to "Call" your OS for/check acceptance... thus interrupting what ever you are doing... or even "Crashing" or "Freezing" the OS.
