This has recently been happening since I've switched to windows 11 however now its happening more often it almost seems that the computer is going against me example: each time I'm about to get a kill freeze and even after the kill (if I get it) continuous freezes however this happens more often on fiveM, Combat Master or any game involving guns however as of late it hasn't done the freezing while in fiveM these are my specs: gtx 1660ti, ryzen 5 3400g, b450m pro m2, corsair vengeance Lpx 16gb ram and 750w corsair power supply although note that I am not updated to the latest windows 11 version I don't think as this is the update that is currently downloading. what should I do to fix it get new ram sticks? maybe a whole "new" graphics card? (the graphics card I have in mind is a rtx 3060 or 3060ti or whatever is below 200£s and a max of 250£) please help

hello judging by your prices your from uk like myself.

there are a few things diffrent in windows 11 first of i would try disabling gpu accelerated graphics

settings>system>graphics>advanced graphics > hardware accelerated gpu sceduling turn off. and variable refresh rate turn off and optomisation for windows games turn off. see if that fixes your issue.

3060 12gb would be a good upgrade.

but you would be better with a faster cpu and more ram which would fit your budget better.

suggestion below

slap in the 3060 12gb. gpu later.

ive added a cpu cooler to the list as you didnt mention what your case or cpu cooler was.

hw monitor works well

https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.55.exe

run hw monitor while play the game and see what max temp it hits.

The cpu cooler that I have is the stock one that everyone gets with an amd cpu its called the amd wraith and its the lowest tier one not the ones with rgb or anything also here’s a link to my current build and ignore any “warnings” of stuff not fitting its just my exact gpu isn’t there on the website so I just used one close to my gpu also in addition to my issue I play this other game called call of duty modern warefare 2019 and I’ve been trying to get the game to download the shaders however it doesn’t matter if I press yes or no to launching the game in safe mode it keeps crashing and this has been happening since I upgraded to windows 11

So update with the suggestions you’ve made I have been able to spot 2 of the 3. The third one I found however my motherboard only has two slots for ram sticks so I had now updated my build with the only changes made to the CPU cooler and the ram sticks tell me what you think

Sorry I must’ve accidentally forgotten to attach the link but here it is(the case is on the list as well, and its called “Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-05 ATX Mid Tower Case” and it has red leds + red accents although it doesn’t show my EXACT one this one is the same only difference is the colours): https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/yKkBgB

I would make the ram low profile you may run into CPU fan clearance issues it's the cons of the cheaper coolers. Which is why I went with low profile ram

Is your cpu, gpu or ram overclocked at all or over/under volted?
With overclocking I’ve tried however if I go past even a 0.1 over it freezes then limits the system then brings it back to normal so since then I haven’t tried over clocking it and kept the default values as for over/under bolted I wouldn’t be able to tell you as I don’t know how to check that all I can say is that I have a 750w power supply for Corsair that’s from 2019 or 2018 not sure tho

Things to do before installing new CPU

Reset bios to default settings ( to remove xmp etc old settings )

Update bios to latest version .

UK based sorry I didn’t tell you earlier

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermalrig...refix=low+profile+thermalright,aps,107&sr=8-4

1 reason I'm recommending this cooler for your motherboard as I just noticed there are no heatsinks on the vrm which can cause stuttering when the vrm are running hot with the pipes facing the ram and fan blowing over the vrm that should cool them.

Make sure in part picker that the link is set to UK at the top it has a habit of switching to usa

My cooling is okay as I get temperatures between 80 to 90 with the games I’ve listed sometimes lower if I’m playing combat master (tried telling you about my temps but the website thought I was spamming)

The 50 pounds is at another online store called ebuyer not amazon and its also not available on amazon and if it was it would cost me 64+ pounds

Ebuyer is a UK store ? I've used it for years..

There you go all from amazon

Also 80-90 isn't good at all. It may be spiking over 95 occasionally causing said stutters usually I find with Ryzen once it's over 85c stability issues can occur as clock speeds drop.

Run a malware scan. Any malware or virus can cause an issue.
Try changing the screen resolution by following these steps:
- Open Settings using the Windows + I shortcut.
- Navigate to System > Display.
- Scroll down to Display resolution and select an option from the drop-down menu.

the numbers I gave you there were a rough estimate plus at the time I sent you that I was at uni and I didn't have access to my temps also what temps should I show you? my cpu temps or my gpu you temps or both?
