hey guys, this is the first time i m posting on these forums..so if i dont include some required information, let me know and i will correct it. i have used information from these forums before from other people's posts and me having a similar problem..but i cldnt find a solution for my current problem.
i m currently running a desktop that i built about 3-4 years back.. never had any serious issue untill just a week ago. i have the windows update download and install automatically option on. but past week soemthing about the windows update gave my computer a serious problem. every3-4 seconds my computer seems to freeze for like half a second, these little freezes happen even before i sign in on my account on windows..the little 2 second music for the computer turning on even gets these mini pauses. i tried a bunch of stuff including checking my hardware dying or having a virus/trojan on the system..everything is clean. then i finally tried to restore the pc to the state it was in before the update, and it was fine except little sound glitches in my headset every few seconds.
intel core i5-2500k cpu@3.3ghz
8gb ram
64-bit operating system, windows 7 service pack 1
have 446gb free space on harddrive
thx for the replies
