Hello all, first time posting. normally I just troll the site. love the community.
My problem/question is I have been having issues with my computer crashing and freezing. Some times it goes a day without freezing other times its 3-4 times in 20 minutes. It started off happening only when I was playing high intense graphic games but now happens when I am just writing on word or browsing with 2-3 windows open. I am using 2 monitors at the moment with a single Graphic card. I use to use 2 of them in sli until this started happening. Now for what I have done so far and my current build. I built my computer about 2 years ago
Mobo: Asus p8p67 deluxe rev 1.xx
CPU: intel core i7 2600k
GPU: 560 ti ( 2 of them, but currently using just 1 since problem has escalated)
8g corsair DDR3(1600)
PSU: corsair 850w
120gb ssd
and 1tb HD for storage
At first I thought it was a graphic card problem due to over heating so I have ran numerous stress tests and the highest temp was around 78* on the top graphic but it did not crash during. Then i thought it was my after market CPU cooler so I removed it and replaced it with a stock fan. That made it better for a day or two. (no more BSOD) After that the crashes started more frequent. So i tried testing everything else. memtest( 4 passes, nothing) CPU test.(all good)HD test( nothing) and more GPU stress tests, and still fine. Traded out each GPU multiple times and still nothing.Then a friend mentioned it might be a bad PCI port so I switched the GPU to the bottom port and had luck for a day, then this morning it froze 4 times in 20 minutes again so still nothing. I'm at a complete loss for words and have no clue what to do next. I cant stand all the freezing. Can anyone help me trouble shoot more or point me in a new direction?
