Computer freezing While gaming

While gaming, My computer usually freezes for a few seconds and then comes back to normal. Its kind of annoying. Does anyone knows whs
What May be causing this issue?

Fx8350
8gb RAM 2133hz g .skill
Gtx780ti
Corsair 750w psu
6 years old 1TB HD

Could possibly be caused by your 6yr old hard drive.
I would run a diagnostic program to check the health of the drive.
Seagate and WDC offer free diagnostic utilities.
