Computer Freezing with new Asus Xonar DG Audio PCI Audio Card/Sapphire 7870 Dual-X GPU

Before I start, here are my computer specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300
RAM: 8GB (2x4gb) Corsair Vengeance
GRAPHICS CARD: Sapphire Dual-X 7870 Ghz Edition
MOBO: ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
SOUND CARD: Asus Xonar DG (Link to product)
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast 550W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit


Basically my computer is completely freezing (no change in screen + no sound) at random times. These freezes happen completely randomly and have happened anywhere from 3 hours after booting to 3 days after booting. These freezes started a few days after I bought the sound card.

I have had this computer for a year and have never had a problem like this for the whole lifespan of it. Also, my headset and mic were bought before the sound card and the problem.

Also note: The reason I bought the sound card was because my on-board audio stopped working. I was also thinking it could be something to do with software, so I did some tests by not running the new programs for a bit but the freezes kept happening

UPDATE: I recently took my sound card out for a day, and my comp had the same freeze again, so I am now suspecting my GPU (Sapphire 7870 Dual-X). I have not found another similar problem that someone has had with the 7870. Wondering if anyone has a fix?
