computer froze while updating display driver

Please help me!
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and I recently cleaned it up. I deleted empty folders, and deleted all viruses (or I thought so). This happened 1 day ago. Today the computer was acting strange. It would take like 1 minute to start, it would just completely freeze when it was in screen saver/hibernate, but it was still working. I wanted to play a game but I got the Blue Screen of Death. Just now I tried to update the AMD display driver. It downloaded perfectly, then while the laptop was trting to install the driver update, the laptop just froze! All of it, i couldn't move my cursor, couldn't press CTRL-ALT+DELETE, etc. I waited more than 5 mins, and ended up shutting it doen by pressing the power button for 5 seconds. Now, when I try to open it, the Toshiba Leadimg Innovation pops up, but then I just get an infinite black screen, where I can't see my cursor. If it does matter, I want to mention that the fan is blowing quite fast.
Computer specs:
16 gb ram
some i7 processor
amd 200x series video card if I remember properly

please help me, should I get it to a service or I can fix it at home. I am not very good with computers...

EDIT:I reseted my pc, but still, I get an infinite black screen after the Toshiba Leading Innovation >>>>> thing. What should I do?

Can you get to the BIOS? If so, you could try a clean install of the operating system. Sounds like you might have messed up a few things when you were deleting items.....

This will take a bit of work on your part and even after the install, you still have to update drivers, maybe the network drivers to get internet....
Might just be worth it for you to take it to a reputable computer repair person/facility if you don't want to bother with that stuff. .

I will try this, but:
1. In the BIOS I will reinstall my operating system and so I will delete all my files?
2. When should I update the drivers, I read on Google that I can update them in Safe Mode...
