It’s sometimes worth weighing the cost of buying a new computer depending on what you currently have. You could upgrade the memory but perhaps a few months down the line you could experience another bottleneck in another area. Graphics? Processor? RAM? All held back by your motherboard which may not support newer components.

Instead of playing games broaden your mind and watch political shows and read about different subjects on the internet.Use your mind for exploration and learning not only these dumb games.

I am reading a book by immanuel velikovsky. worlds in collision also his book Ages in Chaos
i study world history, etc. and yes, i agree with you that mankinds human nature is never satisified. Only God can satisify our inner man.

Worlds in Collision has been around for ages. Published in 1950, it rises out of obscurity about once a decade. With all of the "the world will end in December 2012" talk, I am not surprised that it is reappearing now.

I think the Mayans were thinking that in 2012 a new age would begin. not the end of the world just the beginning of a new age in time.

you can add more performance enhancing components like better gfx card, more ram, upgraded cpu, add an ssd...
may be overclock the components if they allow overclocking.
sometimes reinstalling the os can speed things up.
keep the hdd clean, run cleaner software regularly.
play games that are more resource friendly than others. read the system requirements carefully.
or
give up computer gaming if upgrading and/or overclocking is/are not viable. read books or watch tv/movies.
i went with the second option. 😀
