So when i only bought my PC i used to run games like GTA V 150+ FPS on ultra, now i run GTA V 60 fps on low, i used to run fortnite 220+ fps, now 100.
You get the point. Here are my specs:

Processor: i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operation System, x64-based processor (WINDOWS 10)
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Approx. Total memory: 6079
Display memory (vram): 2007
Shared Memory: 4072

Things i tried:
Factory Resetting my computer, it only helped a for while then it became bad.
Tried deleting %temp% folder files.
Tried uninstalling programs i don't use
Scanning for viruses, there were none.
Cleaning the inside of my computer.

The computer is exactly 1 or 2 years old.

hwinfo64 is a program you can download to monitor your computer. it reads various sensors and display the numbers. you can leave it in the background while you play games and then read the numbers afterwards.

if you have steam, you can enable steam overlay to see your gpu/cpu %utilization and temperatures. that will you an idea how much of your computer is at work during game play.

Like i said, most of the times i do shut my pc for half a day and it doesnt fix anything. same fps.

If you are not going to run the benchmarks as I suggested just let me know because you are just wasting mine and other peoples times.

We need to know if heat is causes your issues. Regardless of how long you have it shut down for the second you start a game, heat starts building up. If the system is overheating it can easily cause your problem.

Run the benchmarks and let them get close to finishing while monitoring the temps. Its that simple.

If you are scared of hurting the PC the keep and eye on the GPU and CPU temps and dont let it get above 90. If it does, hold the power button and just shut down the PC.

What do you mean?? When do I screenshot the benchmark? The screenshots I sent show the program stats being open for 2 minutes. If it goes above 90 temp then what should I do? Tell you that it's 90°?

One potential is one of your settings have changed, using more VRAM from the GPU. I noticed you have a 2gb card, and I recall issues i had with GTA 5 and textures...... look through your nvidia control panel and make sure nothing like super sampling is turned on.

theres no super sampling option in nvidia control panel.

its probably the DSR and they are both off

I let it run for a while and when it reached 79 Temperature it started switching to 78 then back to 79 then 78 and over and over again.

my cpu temp is at 70-75 when i open games like fortnite, black ops 3 and gta. when no game is running its at 39-38

i think at this point i would back up your important files and do a fresh install of windows with a new hard drive and start over. Should only take a few hours.

Note: Get a new hard drive. I once had an issue with 1 game that would freeze at the same exact point every time i played it... after factory resetting.... replacing the game with a new disc and fresh install... etc.. Finally i backed up my files, replaced the hard drive and did a fresh install, installed game, and presto. Some tiny fragment file was lurking/ hanging around that hard drive.

Once you do that, run a
GPU specific benchmark
CPU specific benchmark
and then check how your scores compare to the average for the same part. Sucks it's not a work pc that you scan just scrap and have work pay for a new one.

Sorry I've been tied up at work.

All your temps seem pretty good so I don't think its overheating anything.

What type of hard drive do you have? Have you tried running a check disk or disk diag? You can use a program like WD Lifeguard to run an extented test on your hard drive. Make sure its not dying or having problems.

Sorry for the extremely late response.

This is what the program says :

Drive#
1

Model Number = TOSHIBA HDWD110 (SATA)
serial number 46TP0DTNS
Capacity 1000 GB
SMART status Pass (and a green v)
Logical drive:
Drive # = C:\
File System = NTFS
Total space = 999.18 GB
Free space = 522.30 GB

I'll try an extended test now.

if you have hwinfo64 open it up on a separate monitor while you game. see how many cpu threads are being utilized at what %.

I've noticed since about half a year ago, my games like PUBG are utilizing more and more cpu threads. It used to run 2-3 threads now its' like 4-5.

It's possible your games are being updated to better optimization for multithreaded processors, which makes the i5-6500's 4/4 a bit lacking in threading. That could also lead to hiccups because your OS needs cpu resources too

I don't understand what you're saying. im using only 1 monitor, i dont know what program to use for seeing how much cpu threads are being utilized.
