computer going weird after installing updates.

so i installed some updates from the windows update section of control panel and since then some of my games crash and go unresponding when doing really simply things and every now and then a lil box pops up in the top left corner runs some files and then disappears all within about a second or so, ive no idea whats happening i have avg and malware anti bytes installed and they cant find anything ive tried adware removers and they have found anything and ive tried a registry cleaner and same again nothing. any ideas????

open task manager. click on processes, then run the dame. you should then see what extra is running when you start the games.

nothing out the normal is running but when ever i do something really simple it just black screens and crashes

The little box is probably just explorer.exe restarting. If you take a video with your cellphone (or better yet, something that shoots at 60Hz) you'll probably see things saying it's loading up your user preferences and desktop.

The best thing you can do right now is uninstall (from the control panel->programs->installed updates section) all the updates back to a time you knew the system was working correctly (use the "installed on" date), and then install updates one at a time until you start getting the same errors.

If uninstalling the updates doesn't help, it might be a corrupted windows install or even hardware failure. The first can be checked with the command prompt (as administrator) using sfc /scannow (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833). The second can be checked by using the diagnostics in your motherboard (or using the advanced restart for 8.1)
