Hello I was wondering how well my pc would do on games like Arma 3 And those types of games I currently have a

GPU:Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
CPU:AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 3.20ghz
8GB RAM
GA-990FXA-UD5

Would I need a better CPU and Motherboard to get better fps? or what I don't know to much about computers.

The FX-6300 and 6350 are the same processor. The 6350 is just running at a faster clcok and is probably a higher binned chip that has a bit more OC'ing potential. At stock the FX-6300 is a 95W processor. The 6350 a 125W processor. But if you were to OC the 6300 to the same speed as the 6350, it too would be a 125W chip. You board has OC'ing potential, so do so.

Ok thanks What would I need to update my motherboard to bios F11 Would I need to update it to F10 For the FX-6300? And if so How would I do so you posted a link but I don't see how to download anything all it says is the names

Would this be a good guide to follow?

According to that link to the CPU support page, you would need the F10 or later BIOS for the FX-6300 if you have rev. 1.x of that board. The Easy way to find out which rev. and which BIOS you have is to run CPU-Z and check the BIOS version and revision number under the 'mainboard' tab. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Important! Is your board revision 1.x, 3.0, or 3.1? You need to click on the rev. of your board's rev. number to be sure you get the correct information, software, etc.. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3891#ov

The BIOS download changes depending on which rev number your board is. Get back to me with the rev. no. of your board before doing anything.

Lol... well, that doesn't help at all, does it? "Rev x.x"
Looks like you'll have to resort to looking at the silkscreen number on the board itself. If you orient the board so that the CPU/socket is at the top, look in the lower left corner by the PCI slot. It should say "Designed in Taipei". Right below that is the Rev #

But I'm betting it is a Rev 1.x because of the BIOS version you have; F3. The other board revisions seem to use two letters instead of a letter and number.

Now comes the bad news... You may not have an AM3+ socket after all. Early 990FXA-UD5 boards were apparently equipped with an AM3 socket. That is what CPU-Z is reporting. If that is the case, you cannot use an FX-xxxx processor.
What color is your CPU socket; white or black?

On the proccessor box it says "AM3+ CPU Ready does that mean i have the am3+ socket and it says 'FX unlocked proccessor" Also i'll look for the rev number soon and get back to you

Update
Rev 1.0 I can't actually see the CPU Socket itself there is a fan covering it but under the fan it says "AM3+ ultra Durable 3
I don't know if this is any help but this is my board with nothing on it

Whew... If the MB has AM3+ on it, it will indeed support the FX-6300 and the others. I got worried when I saw CPU-Z list the socket as an AM3, which I think it is. But a late variation made for the (then new) FX processors. You must have one of the very first versions of that motherboard. Including one of the earliest BIOSs.

OK. Then the page you want for your board is the one for rev. 1.x
And yes, you'll have to update the board's BIOS to at least F10 (6300) or F11 (6350). Might as well update it to the latest version offered. (F12) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3891#bios

If you've never updated a BIOS before, you may want to read this: http://www.gigabyte.com/webpage/20/HowToReflashBIOS.html
It outlines the 3 basic ways to do the update.

:) Thanks I am able to update the board before I have the new cpu right? if so should I update it today because the cpu will be here by friday

Also there is 3 option on that link which one do you think would be best for me seeing I don't know much about computers.

1: "Caution-- Make sure you have a functional floppy disk with the correct BIOS version for your motherboard." I don't have a floppy Disk

2 "Caution-- Make sure your O.S. environment is stable. " Probably my best bet

3: " Caution-- Make sure you have a functional DOS boot disk with the correct BIOS version for your motherboard." I'm not sure what a DOS boot disk is.

Yes, you HAVE to update the BIOS with the old processor you have now. The new one won't work with the old BIOS you have now.

If your system is stable, I'd recommend doing it in Windows using option 2. You can download the latest version of @BIOS from that website and install it. If you want to be sure your system is stable, first run CCleaner* and have it do the Clean and Registry portions both. It will clean up registry errors, junk files, resource-wasting crap, and other stuff that may be causing issues. Reboot and run @BIOS when you are ready. Do not interrupt the BIOS updating process. It can brick your PC if interrupted.

Ok I'll update the BIOS Later and let you know how it goes.

I updated seems to have gone ok bit weird after restart made me reinstall my AMD drivers But after it did it was all ok I updated it to version F10 Was the driver part a problem? also Since I have updated the BIOS to f10 I'm all good to put the new CPU in when It arrives?

When the BIOS is updated, it will default the motherboard to factory settings. So any changes you may have made (or someone else) in BIOS will likely have to re-entered. I have no idea why you'd have to re-install the gfx drivers, tho.
Verify that CPU-Z shows the correct BIOS. If so, the board should be ready to accept the FX-6300. Did you use @BIOS from within Windows to do the flash?

I used the @BIOS to update it I used this guide
http://www.gigabyte.com/webpage/20/images/utiltiy_atbios.pdf

I extracted the "mb_bios_ga-990fxa-ud5_f10" and clicked update BIOS From file and used this file "99FXAUD5.F10 " Out of the Main file.
