Computer hangs on post screen for a while after GPU upgrade

First of all, hello and thanks for taking your time to read this.

Basically I bought a GTX 760 a few weeks ago and only got the chance to use it yesterday, and after installing the graphics card I found that my computer would hang on the post screen(the bios splash thing) for a duration of 4 beeps(that's normal startup/success beeps, whatever you want to call them, not error beeps), booting up Windows as soon as the 4th beep went off.

I've searched far and wide for other people with the same issue, but I've only found similar issues, never the exact same. Most of the time it was people whose PC would be stuck on the post screen forever rather than start after a while. I've noticed that the common fix for this is to go into the BIOS setup screen with the old GPU and change a couple of settings, but to be honest I've had to move the PC around so much these past couple of days that I'm starting to get really annoyed if I have to open it up again. So before I actually go and apply that, I'd like to ask in case anyone knows of a more likely solution to this problem.

(I'd like to mention that for some reason, my CPU temps, and even my new GPU started to get pretty high, ~70C in full load for the CPU cores now that I've installed the new GPU, which seems really weird to me, especially since I also installed a couple more fans in my case with it.)

edit: forgot the specs

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 OC Windforce 3x
CPU: Intel i5-3470 @ 3.20 Ghz(stock values + stock cooler)
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B75-D3V(not sure which revision, but I think it's 1.0)

It's normal to have increased temperatures when a new GPU is installed. That means the previous GPU was the bottleneck, it was limiting the performance. With the better GPU performance increased and so the CPU is working harder, and hotter.

Anyway, on to the issue at hands. Take the RAM out and re-seat it after a few seconds, and clear CMOS (motherboard's manual should tell you how, there should be either a button or a jumper). While doing it, make sure your PC is turned off and the PSU is also turned off in the back.

Ugh, I'll wait a couple of days until I try that since my cooler's supposed to arrive then. In the meantime, I'll try and gather more possible solutions so I don't have to keep opening my case up every 3 hours.
