Os Windows 10 Home
CPU ryzen 7 7700x
Gpu RX 6800 XT
Psu RM 850x
32 gb of DDR 5 ram I just updated my gpus drivers and after a restart, it is just sitting on a black screen and the keyboard won't respond, all fans and light turn on as normal, have tried researing the gpu and reseating the ram

Since your CPU features Integrated Graphics, plug the HDMI (or DisplayPort) cable into your motherboard.
Now you will be able to see some output in your display, so you can troubleshoot.

Now, try pressing Win+Ctrl+Shift+B Key combination to reset the graphics drivers. Once the screen momentarily turns off and on, plug that display cable into your GPU back again while the PC is still on. if you get a display output, then your good to go, or else continue troubleshooting with the below steps once you have reconnected the cable into the motherboard again.

EDIT: I forgot that your Keyboard is not working too so the above step cant be carried out. Might as well try another keyboard or try another USB port for the keyboard? I have one question though, how do you know the keyboard is not responding if you can't see any output in the display?

The next method is to download DDU, which can clean uninstall display drivers and reinstall them.
So, to do this go to https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/ and download the tool from there.
Please see to this guide, if you haven't used DDU before https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/DDU-Guide-Tutorial

I hope you'll be able to resolve your Issue. Keep me posted about your results!

The keyboard lets me change the brightness so long as the pc is on but its just all black, and I just tried doing the key comination and it didn't do anything.

will try DDU now

That's a really weird situation because I'm using the exact same drivers that you are and I've never had something like that happen. I have a feeling that it's not the drivers because I've never heard of video drivers affecting keyboards or any other USB device for that matter.

If/when you discover the problem, please post it because it would be an interesting read. 👍
