Hi everyone,

I’ve been dealing with some frustrating boot issues with my PC lately. It often takes many attempts to get it to boot, sometimes it doesn’t start at all, other times it boots but everything is really laggy. Occasionally, it starts up smoothly, but the audio is completely distorted. After about 20 minutes of trying, it usually starts working perfectly, and everything runs smoothly—until I turn it off again.

Whenever I do manage to boot it up, I often get the Windows error screen, and sometimes disk errors are fixed, but that doesn’t seem to help.

Here are my specs:

• Motherboard: MSI B650M
• GPU: AMD Radeon 7800XT
• CPU: 7800X3D
• PSU: Corsair CX650
• RAM: 32GB

What I’ve Tried So Far:

• Updated drivers, including rolling back to a previous version.
• Haven’t checked the temperatures of my components yet.
• The hard drive and SSD are new, so I don’t think it’s a storage issue.
• I have heard of problems with B650M and the 7800xt, but have no idea to which BIOS versions to update

This is what latencyMon says:

CONCLUSION

Your system seems to be having difficulty handling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicks or pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:02:41 (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

Everything depends on the proper power. Verify via multimeter or spare PSU.
