cpu temp - 78

this temps are when pc is idle
i have ran anti virus , anti malware nothing showed up
only thing i am doing is watching videos on vlc and torrent running in background
cpu heats up very badly , cant even play games with this temps , games start lagging ,
dont know what to do please help
this is happening since last 5 days
i even changed thermal paste yesterday
checking temp through HWiNFO64 bit

You said you changed the thermal recently , did you put it on properly. PFB the link and verify the steps.
Also, the cooler seems to the stock one. Check the task manager for running apps, check for higher cpu usage. Any app behaving abnormally could be the culprit, also check for auto start programs in msconfig (windows+R , type in msconfig ).

Solution
i changed thermal paste due to heating up problem , it was applied properly ,
the cooler is not the stock one i changed the stock one with deep cooler brand which is 2x bigger than stock one ,
cpu usage fluctuate between 3 to 11
and now i have used msconfig and disable new program from startup list

Ensure proper ventilation. Also try running the system open cabinet. Any change in the temps after the msconfig tweak?
