Computer is not Showing right hardware specs

The specs of my system are as follows
CPU :Intel Core 2 dual core 2.6ghz
motherboard: Intel 775 socket legacy motherboard
Os : Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 32 bit

I have ram of 3 GB (2gb + 1 GB) but on my computer i see it says 1.99gb.
When i booted with Linux live OS it showed 3.072mbs
when i check windows Experience index it gave low score for my PC While the lowest was 1.0 for gaming graphic and Graphic
and highest was 5.2 for my HDD

But in My computer its Showing 1.9 gb RAM.. WHY?
 


Yeah matched sets would be useful, but thats not what we're working with here. Any advice on figuring out the problem for the OP?

Go into task manager and goto the "Performance" tab, then look under where it says "Physical Memory (MB)", look at what it say's, concentrate on the "Total" option, if it still doesn't say the right amount of memory then it's a config issue, in which case check that you have put the memory in the correct slots, make sure they are all secure and also if all of that fails then go and buy a pair of memory sticks that are compatible and that come's in a package like what Wayfall said.

It shows 2048 mbs .. Which means Just 2 GB is counted . I have inserted a 2 GB & 1 GB ram stick. when i check with speccy it shown 3072 GBs

It shows total physical as 1.99 GB while it should show 2.99 or 3 GB
