Question Computer is suddenly slow to boot ?

I built this computer last August, and since then I haven't had any issues, until this past Friday. I was getting ready to turn it off for the night, when it suddenly started freezing and refusing to load the start menu. Up until that point, I hadn't noticed any issues at all.

The next day, when I went to turn it on, it sat on a black screen for about 10 minutes before anything happened, and took 30 minutes total before I could even log into it. Once it was on, there were no issues. This continued until yesterday. I timed it a couple times and those times it took about 8 minutes to boot, when normally I could be signing in in under a minute.

Yesterday, a friend was trying to help me work out what was wrong. We updated the bios, checked a few things that could be slowing it down, however during one of the restarts, it suddenly stopped booting the OS completely, and just hung just after where I could pull up bios. This morning, still happening, though I did notice the VGA light came on when it was first started before turning off.

I could really use some help with this! Thank you! Let me know if there's more info needed, I'll try to provide it; this is my first time posting about this kinda thing lol

So it's just windows that are slow or stopped BOOTing? Time to boot to BIOS is normal ? That leads me to think that windows may be corrupted or disk they are on have developed problems.
When I have to solve problems like that, I usually first attempt to BOOT using a live Linux from a USB or for more options and checks/repair using also portable USB with https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/sergei_strelecs_winpe_64_bit.html
Other things to try: Disconnect all drives but one with windows on it because if windows find any failing disk it would fail ro BOOT.

No, time to bios is not normal. It'll be sitting on a black screen before that for quite a few minutes, sometimes up to 20 minutes now, before I can go into bios.

Disconnect all storage devices.
Does it go into BIOS normally then?
Yes, it was much quicker that time!

I put the drive with just windows on it back on and it came up just as fast as well. I guess a different drive than I thought may be going out 🙁 Though considering it's not the one with windows, that seems a weird interaction.

Okay, I put them back on one at a time and my other SSD seems to be the issue. It had had some problems before, which I just attributed to a loose cable (as that's what happened last time it had issues), but the moment I put it back on, it took forever to get to bios again. So I'll have to replace it and try to get all the files off it. Thank you so much, I really appreciate the help!!!!
