Recently I purchased the GeForce GTX 1050 for my computer. When I open my device manager though it doesn't show up, and all attempts to download Nvidia drivers from their site end up cancelling because it couldn't detect Nvidia software on my computer. It's been extremely frustrating the last couple of days. I updated my BIOS, uninstalled all traces of my previous drivers (which now I'm just stuck with the default) , and overall I'm at a loss. I'm fairly new to computers to if you are gonna use fancy terms please dumb it down for me lol. My processor is a Asus A10-7800,
x64 system running on Windows10(yes I know the graphics card bottlenecks, I don't have a lot of money and this was the cheapest one out there, and I know they're compatible as I've seen other threads saying they're compatible). Anyways, I'd appreciate all help!

Solution
If your sure the monitor is working and set to the correct DVI input (assuming it has more than one), and if you are sure the DVI cable is OK and connected firmly, then I would have to suspect the gfx card itself is defective. What motherboard do you have? Or is this a pre-built PC with an OEM board?

yes, the graphics card has a dvi port and i've plugged it into the card and the monitor, all I get is '"DVI no signal"

Have you plugged in your gtx 1050 into the pcie slot firmly in?
Also did you go on nvidia-drivers--all nvidia drivers-selext windows 10 64bit- click search (don't need to enter your PC specs ) - download be sure to click all the recommended listings and you should have it installed
