COMPUTER KEEPS ACTING CTRL BUTTON

Hello,

I have a laptop that I bought about a month ago. What happens is, while im typing, sometimes the computer will execute a function as though I hit the CTRL button. For example, if I hit the "T" button, it will act as though I hit ctrl T and a new web browser will pop up. How do I remedy this? Thanks,

It's not a stuck key people. Lots of people (including me) have this problem and the first thing people think is wrong is a "stuck key". I'm having this problem on my desktop running XP and I've tried 4 different keyboards all with the same problem. Once again, IT'S NOT A STUCK KEY.

pvfd117, I don't know if you're still following this thread, but I am having the same problem on my 5 day old laptop, and I wondered if you ever found a solution to this problem? I have searched everywhere and it seems that tons of people have this problem but no one has a clear solution! I haven't even touched the control key when this happens ~ the computer just suddenly jumps into CTRL mode.
