Computer keeps freezing randomly during a game or after closing a game.

Recently my computer started to completely freeze/hang and then reboot while either playing a game or after closing a game. There's no BSOD or display driver crash or any other indicator.
The screen just completely freezes, the audio keeps playing for atleast 10 seconds or so, and then the OS reboots after a while.

I already tried completely reinstalling Windows 10 and I ran some tests, primarily memtest and some benchmarks. My temps are fine (everything is always under 50° celsius). Event viewer isn't giving me any useful information.
I have absolutely no clue as to what the issue could be.

My specs are:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k
RAM: 16,0GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000
Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M7 (MS-7976) (U3E1)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (MSI)
SSD: Samsung SSD 950 PRO 256GB (with Windows installation)
HDD: Western Digital WDC WD2003FZEX-00Z4SA0 (SATA)

Does anyone have a idea what the problem could be?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I also updated my BIOS to the latest version. Also, my PSU is a Corsair RM750x 750W.

I haven't checked that yet, but I will check that in a few days. The problem is, I couldn't really alt+tab to check it in the task manager, as the entire computer just locks up.

I already updated my BIOS, I forgot to mention that. Although I might try that again.
My PSU is a Corsair RM750x 750W.

I also forgot to mention this pretty much only happens with the more graphically intensive games.

Alright, so I monitored my cpu and gpu temps and usage while playing Dragon's Dogma, and my gpu usage is constantly around the 70% up to 97%. My cpu cores hover around the 40% - 70% area. The temps are just fine, around the 40 to 50 degrees celsius. Are these percentages bad?

It didn't freeze in my 30 minutes play session, and it didn't freeze after closing the game either.

To be honest your temperature really good much better than what I have like 58-60 degrees under full load on GPU ..
When it comes to the temperature regarding GPU and CPU the point to get worried is of they hits Arround 75-85 degrees while gaming under 100 percent usage ! But as u said they are between 40-50 degrees you are good to go no point of worring !

So, I swapped out my GPU with another one I had lying around.
I'll report back whenever it decides to crash this week.
If that doesn't work, I'll try what amitsandhu943 said about the Intel Rapid Storage Driver.

Yep, it was the GPU after all.
The 1060 I swapped it my 970 out for works perfectly and my system hasn't crashed since.

I'd still like to thank you all for your help!
