Question Computer keeps freezing ?

Ok, sorry this is a long post but it's driving me crazy,

So when trying to load some games, or when I exit some games, and even once while trying to load OBS, my computer seems to freeze. I can still move the mouse and I can "close" all my open programs and windows except the game. I say "close" cause the windows exit out but down in the task bar it still shows like they are open. After I do that I can't open anything else or shut off or restart the computer unless I do it by holding the power button.

But when I do it that way it logs me out of everything ie: Spotify, nord VPN, stuff like that. It also sets my wavelink software that I use with the wave microphone to have 0 outputs. I can then add the outputs back and hear everything, but I can't adjust the volume or gain or anything, everything's just stuck in the software. I then have to uninstall and do a fresh install of wavelink then go through every single app and software that I had audio settings for and redo all of it including OBS stuff.

I've tried running the system checker in the bulldog anti virus and it says everything's fine, all my temps and usage of cpu, gpu, and ram seem fine. And I don't know where to start looking after that, but I'm losing my mind with this cause it'll take me about an hour to redo everything, and then as soon as I try to load any game that's not sea of thieves then the computer does it again, or it will work and when I exit the game it will do it again.

I've run integrity tests ( I think that's what it's called) on my games that I can and they all say everything's fine. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look for my problem I'm more than willing to try it out. Thank you for yalls help. I've tried googling it but couldn't find much that matched what I am experiencing.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

We're going to need a little more information. Can you please parse your specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU: make and model and it's age
Chassis:
OS: include OS version

Can you check and see what BIOS version you're on at the time of writing? Are you able to recreate the problem with a few apps running the next time out, it'd be a good idea if you ruled out a particular app one at a time to see what triggers the lock up. I'm leaning towards a corrupt OS or perhaps a corrupt app.

If you're on Windows 10, you should be fine with Windows Defender alone. Still a good idea to have malwarebytes take a look if you have any stowaways.

thank you for the welcome! I probably should have realized I should include this info, that's my bad.
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
Motherboard: ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO
Ram: 4 sticks of 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 MHz
SSD: Samsung 970 evo plus 1TB
HDD: seagate 2TB
GPU: Geforce GTX 1660 super
PSU: Corsair CX series 750 WATT 80+ Bronze, 6 months old
Chassis: NZXT H510
OS: include Windows 10 pro version 21H1

the BIOS version is 3801, I updated to that version hoping it would help fix the problem.
I'm able to recreate the problem if I open a majority of my games (not at the same time) and then ALT+ TAB out of the game, but it also occasionally happens upon trying to load or exit those games. I got it to stop happening in a couple games by putting it into fullscreen borderless, but those games still do it every now and then when loading in or exiting.
So I should be able to deactivate Bullguard completely and just use windows defender?
sorry if it seems like I'm a noob, this is my first computer and I built it in March, it was working just fine up until about a week ago.

may be a dumb answer but some games really screw with me
