Hi I have a Windows 7 64 bit professional machine with an ASUS p8z77-v deluxe motherboard. As of a few days ago, my computer suddenly started waking from sleep by itself.
When I open up the power troubleshooter utility in event viewer, it says that the wake source every time is: Device -Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 8 - 1E1E
I am not that computer savvy, so what is this PCI Express Root Port referring to? Would it be my graphics card? Because that is the only thing I have plugged into a PCI express port on my board.
I had this problem initially when the computer was new and it ended up being the wake on LAN feature that was waking the computer. After disabling that, I haven't had a single problem up until this new issue came up.
What could be waking my computer? Thanks a lot for your help, I appreciate it!
