My graphic card fans stopped working just this morning and the computer would restart right away or a few minutes in. It worked last night and 30 mins this morning. On restart I would see that the 2 GC fans still spin only for few seconds and every other fans still working fine.
Processors: i5 2500k (5 years)
Motherboard: z77 Extreme4 (5 years)
Graphic Card: Gigabyte 1060 6gb (owned for a few months)
Power Supply: Corsair Cx 500 (5 years)
Ram: Vengance Corsair 8gb (5 years)

I'd appreciate any help since I don't know where to start. Thanks in advance

Currently using motherboard graphic card and computer did not restart

Solution
you generally get 3-4 years out of a PSU you have done very well they are a cheaper brand of PSU the GPU is the most power hungry piece in the PC the PSU will give up in couple of days I would think.

PSU Tier list tier 1-2 are good for gaming

I would recommend an EVGA SuperNova Gold G2 / or new G3 /GS / GQ, Platinum P2 / PS, or Titanium T2 or a Seasonic M12-II Evo or S12-II
GOOD PSU EVGA is a B2, G2, G3, P2, GS, PS, or T2. Avoid the EVGA B1 and G1 series/ I bought a EVGA G3 with 7year garentee

You don't think the problem is with the graphic card? Can you give me more Infos on why it take this long for the power supply to be a problem

Solution
the cx500 has a 5 year warranty it is due for failure or replacement. the cheap capacitors used to keep the price low have a short lifespan and wear out in about 5 years, hence the 5yr warranty. even if the supply keeps running after that date it may be damaging the system slowly.

if it was the GPU, removing it would be the solution.

Hey I just want to update you were 100% correct about the PSU. I left the computer on using the onboard graphic and it restarted after 15 mins if idling
