Anyone know why computer lags... my computer wait a second before it loads internet pages. Also, while typing it lags a few second before the letter catch up. I'm at lost to why it does this.

Comp spec:
- Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012
- 12 GB Ram
- i7 2600k
- 30 GB SSD w/ 2 TB WD Black HDD storage (SSD is main hard drive and have 20%, 7GB+ free space)
- Win 7 Ultimate 64.
- Motherboard is Asus P8H67-M Pro. No games.
- 700 watt PSU Silverstone.

The lag started after i turn off my anti-virus and firewall for an hour. But Kaspersky scan says I'm clean. CClean computer daily. No defrag due to SSD.

Any clues? If I do have a undetectable virus, I mine as well reformat my SSD.

my experience has been that sometimes kaspersky can cause this, specially if you are opening documents from a network drive.

you can try disable scanning of *.doc & *.docx to see if that helps with you word typing issues.

as for internet. if your using internet explorer try loading Internet Explorer (no add-ons)

if that dosnt fix ur issue its going to be a slow internet connection holding you back.

Thank you for the reply. I have 8-12 even sometime 20 Mbps so I doubt its the internet. HOWEVER, my router goes in and out. Its a Netgear WNDR 3700. For a $150 router, it perform wost than my $50 linksys. It slows my main computer, slows my xbox, and constantly have to refresh my connection with my printer. My laptop however is fine. those are the only 4 things that is connected to it.

For the computer issue, I reformat my main hard drive (the ssd) and its fine for now.

However, does anyone have kaspersky and notice how much space it hogs. Mine, I have turn off hibernation and still my space constantly goes down. The previous time I have space issue with my ssd, I uninstall kaspersky and it freed up like 10 gb. For a 30 GB SSD, that's huge!
