Computer lagging when closing / minimizing any window

Starting since last night, i have been having issue where whenever I close or even minimize things, applications, windows, task manager, pretty much anything, it'll get frozen mid closing, and leave a grayed out image of it behind, covering everything in that area, and becoming completely unclickable. If I drag a different window around, the windows will then properly close / minimize, but otherwise they will stay like that for around 30 seconds. Here is an image showing the issue, where gta 5, and task manager are stuck trying to be closed http://imgur.com/zI7JD1B I have ran memtest, my overclock is perfectly stable and has been for months, so it can't be either of those. My ssd is very new and should not be having any issues either.

I have also ran AVG, MalwareBytes, and ADWcleaner, I do not have viruses, there are no suspicious services or programs running either. I have attempted a system restore, and that seemingly fixed the issue for about 2 hours, but I may have just had a lucky streak since this happens for a bit every so often. I have been monitoring temperatures as well, and I never go above 65c on my cpu, gpu even lower

Solution
I just ran into the same problem as you last saturday. For my problem the answer is the SSD was partially broken. you will need to check the SSD speed using Crystal disk mark

If not the SSD, then my second guess is your gpu or cpu got partly fried due to overclock.

Still my best bet is the SSD. The situation are very much alike. My SSD was PNY XLR8 240Gb and only less than 6 months old. Just finish using back up pc for my home.

please pick as best answer if it help

Solution
Yeah... Sadly it was too late... Running the stress test completely destroyed my ssd now... It won't even show up in my bios anymore.. Goodbye all of my important data and files... Was nice knowing you

I thought it was this...but I just did a reinstall on my new ssd...and the issue persists. All my drives are healthy and I have no idea why this is happening...

Then my second guess were happening. Your motherboard or cpu has mulfunction. The other possibilities is you have bad luck purchasing older ssd model that was released during early time od sata3 ssd. Those generation of ssd has low compatibility. If you bought latest model, you can ignore this possibility.

Oh i just remember. Power supply can also caused this. It happened to me long time ago when still using hdd. Weakened power supply can be checked by reducing the power usage by:
1. If you have internal vga, take out your vga card and use internal one
2. Disconnect other hdd, try with only ssd
3. Undo overclock

Hope this info help
