Hello, I just got some new computer components! and i put them together, they seem to be all compatible but when i try and boot it it says CMOS settings wrong. I go in and set all settings to default and it attempts to boot and says "BOOT Failure, insert diskette in A" I'm not exactly sure what that means but i googled it and found a lot of people saying it's a dead hardrive and stuff. well i've tried booting with several Hard drives with several different cables in all the different ports and seems to be nothing is working. Any help is appreciated i have the Mother Board MSI 865PE Neo2-FIS2R

The BIOS is trying to boot from HDD without checking the DVD or USB ports for bootable media first.
When the PC turns on look for words like Press this button for config/settings/BIOS/boot menu. press that key to get into the BIOS to configure boot options and set the boot priority so it checks the DVD first.
It means there is no OS. insert a Windows or Linux disk and install an operating system.

In the BIOS, make sure that it checks DVD (or USB if your using a USB installer disk) first before it tries to boot from the hard drive.
During POST (when your first turn it on) there is usually an option for Boot Menu. press that button (it's usually F12). Choose the DVD (or USB if your installing the OS from a USB drive)
